The Lazy Girl's Guide to Getting Ready in the Morning

We live in an age where we’ve become dependent on our phones.  I know I’m guilty, too.  I wake up in the morning and pick up my phone almost immediately to check my e-mail and notifications. Life still happens while we sleep and we don’t want to miss a beat when we wake up!  So it’s no surprise that even our everyday tasks are now linked to our phones – like getting ready in the morning.

Even though I work from home as a full-time blogger, I am still pretty good about getting myself up and ready in the morning.  However, there are some mornings that I find myself not wanting to move from bed right away – or at all.  I’ll toss and turn and tell myself “10 more minutes” about two or three more times.  Eventually, I’ll drag myself out of bed to take care of Hunter and grab a cup of coffee.

Those mornings, I could use a little extra help.  That’s why I’m sharing “The Lazy Girl’s Guide to Getting Ready in the Morning” today!  These tips will get you moving before your first cup of coffee even kicks in!

Planning.  It’s something that’s become a bit of a trend the past couple of years.  I’ve gotten in on it.  I’ve bought the stickers!  I try to sit down and go over my handwritten planners (yes, planners) once a week.  But there’s something that I do on a daily basis.  That’s planning my day the night before!  It’s nice to wake up the next day and have a game plan in mind of what needs to be done! I’ll try and plan everything down to what I’m going to eat the next day!

My wardrobe might go as far as leggings and oversized shirts these days.  But I still find getting ready in the morning easier when I know what outfit I want to wear.  I might not lay it out on the bed like Mom did when I was back in grade school.  But having a mental picture of what I want to wear the next day helps me avoid wasting minutes staring into my closet!

Okay.  Makeup bloggers, don’t hate me for this one.  Most days, I just can’t be bothered to put on makeup. Other days, I want to go through an entire eyes-to-lips routine, but I find it to be pretty time consuming.  So I make up for it by skipping the full-on makeup routine and opting for some simple eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick.

Add some cool gadgets to your morning routine like the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Platinum Connected Toothbrush!  A simple, everyday task like brushing your teeth just got a lot more fun!  It’s not only an electric toothbrush! It’s synced to an app on your phone so you can improve your brushing technique!

I never thought I would be so excited for a new toothbrush.  Then, I came across the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Platinum Connected Toothbrush at Target and had to make it a part of my brushing routine!  When I downloaded the app, I was immediately able to set goals for my brushing routine.

My toothbrush syncs up to the app every time I brush!  I receive personalized coaching to ensure I get a complete clean every time.  The app will even tell you if you’re brushing too hard or if you’ve missed a spot!  I can even adjust the brush settings to clean, whiten, and deep clean my teeth!  Pretty cool, huh?

I hope these tips make your morning routine a little easier on you.  If you want to add the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Platinum Connected Sonic Electric Toothbrush to your morning routine, look for it in the oral care aisle in Target!
