How to Make Golf Cupcakes

Make a sweet treat for the golf lover in your life with this super easy Golf Cupcakes recipe! Add gum "golf balls" and golf tees for a hole-in-one dessert!

I was provided product samples free of charge from Oriental Trading in exchange for my honest opinion. No other compensation was provided for this post.

With Father's Day being so close to my husband's birthday, I get to brainstorm gifts for him while shopping for dad. Β It's super convenient since my dad and my husband are always so hard to shop for! Β I usually start brainstorming gift ideas by first thinking about their hobbies. Β Golf is a big hobby of my husband's.

I'm not much of a golfer - aside from mini golf - so I usually leave shopping for golf gear to the hubs. Β If I do get him a golf-themed gift, it's usually a gift card to a sporting goods store or a golf polo shirt. Β But my husband also has a bit of a sweet tooth. Β So anotherΒ perfect gift for him is always some homemade baked goodies!

So I had the idea to bake a simple vanilla cupcake and turn it into a golf-themed dessert. Β The best part? Β All you need is boxed cake mix, green icing, and a little creativity! Β I might not know much about the game of golf itself, but I can definitely make a cupcake a hole-in-one dessert!

I found the cutest golf picks at Oriental Trading, along with a few other supplies I needed to make these cupcakes. After the cupcakes were baked, I used a star tip to add textured frosting on top. Β I've been using my piping bag a lot lately! Using a piping bag isn't as hard as I thought it would be. All it takes is a little practice and you'll soon get the hang of it! It always gets a little messy for me (especially using colorful frosting), but that's all part of the fun!

I found cupcake liners with a grassy design on them. Β You could use golf-themed cupcake liners or green cupcake liners. Β These cupcakes became a golfer's delight by sticking white golf tees in half of the cupcakes. Then, I stuck golf flag picks in the other half. Β A white gumball was popped on top to take the place of a golf ball. Β They also give these cupcakes another fun, edible element!
