Oh Sugar Sugar

My usual baking style is drop cookies.  I got a bit more creative with my cookies recently when I made a sugar cookie mix.  I found some festive cookie cutters in tree, star, snowflake and gingerbread man shapes and cut my cookies out with them.  I made a simple icing from milk and confectioner’s sugar and painted the icing on each cookie with a silicone brush.  I found sprinkles in my cabinet and decorated my cookies in Christmas shapes and colors.  I also found Easter sprinkles in purple, pink and yellow.  I made some purple and pink trees for the fun of it and some yellow snowflakes because I found the idea to be hilarious!  

It took all my strength not to dive in and eat some of these cookies.  I managed to hide the evidence of two broken cookies (in my belly, of course!) and put a small plate aside for my husband.  As for the rest of them, they’ll have to wait for Christmas to be shared and consumed!
