I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'm definitely the girl who's only at the game day party for the food!Β  While everyone else is busy cheering on their team in front of the TV, I'm busy checking out the spread!Β  In my opinion, a great game day spread has to consist of three things: sandwiches, chips and lots of dip, and something spicy!Β  That's why I love sliders.Β  You can basically combine a lot of those go-to, game day ingredients into one delicious food!

Sure, you can have a regular hamburger slider, a pulled pork slider, Buffalo chicken sliders, or even a saucy, Italian-inspired slider. They're all good, but why make your game day party basic?Β  Be a little extra during the big game with my crab cake sliders!Β  I know what you're thinking.Β  "How am I going to feed a crowdΒ crab on a budget?"Β  Easy!Β  Pass on the lump stuff sold at the seafood counter and grab a couple cans of crab meat instead!Β  Then, bulk it up with lots of flavorful ingredients!Β  It's just as tasty without having to give up a month's worth of rent!

A slider is only as good as the bun it's on.Β  The bun is the vessel that carries all of that goodness inside of it!Β  That's why I made this crab cake slider recipe with Pepperidge Farm Slider Buns.Β Β Pepperidge Farm Slider Buns are baked with special touches and available in five yummy flavors (White, Sesame, Potato, Sweet & Soft, and Wheat).Β Β The quality, premium ingredients baked into these buns will make your game day party a total win!

My spicy, little crab cakes sit on top of Sweet & Soft Pepperidge Farm Slider Buns.Β  Since the crab cakes have a little kick to them, I decided to balance out the flavor with the sweetness of the buns.Β  You can toast the buns if you want, but they're bakery soft and oh-so-good just the way they are!Β  Just bake up a batch of these crab cakes, toss them on the buns, and done!

Pepperidge Farm Slider Buns come in a party-size pack of 12.Β  If you're making these sliders for your game day party, you'll probably have to double this recipe.Β  I didn't get too crazy when I first made these sliders.Β  We weren't hosting a game day party or feeding a crowd.Β  We were just enjoying an easy dinner for two (with leftovers for lunch the next day)!

Even after doubling the recipe, it will still cost you less (way less!) than a container of lump crab meat at the seafood counter!Β  So go for it and be a game day party champ!

I got everything I needed to make these sliders while I was doing our food shopping during the week.Β  I made sure that I bought enough crab meat so I could make these again over the weekend! If you want to add this recipe to your grocery list, make sure to download a coupon for $1 off any variety of Pepperidge Farm Slider Buns! They're available in the bakery/bread aisle of the grocery store.

I mean, need I say more about these sliders? I've saved you some money and made you the rockstar of your next game day party! Actually, I will say one more thing. If you know you'll have guests over who can't handle the heat, serve the Sriracha mayo on the side. The Sriracha that's added to the crab mixture doesn't overpower the sliders. It's just enough to give it a nice pinch and not too much heat.

Okay. Now, I'm done! So go on, download that $1 off coupon, and be the MVP of your next game day gathering!
