Ingredients
1room-temperate store bought pie crust
2cupspecan halves
3large eggsbeaten
3tbsp.buttermelted
1/2cuplight or dark corn syrup
1cupsugar
3tbsp.bourbon
1 1/2cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375º.
Roll the pie crust out until it's slightly larger.
Carefully place the pie crust into a pie dish, crimping the edges
Cover the bottom of the pie crust with pecan halves.
Whisk the eggs and melted butter together. Then, add the corn syrup, sugar, bourbon, and chocolate chips.
Stir all ingredients until combined and pour the mixture over the pecans.
Place the pie on a baking sheet (to avoid overspill) and bake for 10 minutes.
Lower the heat to 350º and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the pie is set in the middle.
Allow the pie to cool and serve with whipped cream, if desired.
