Maple Bacon Sea Salt Popcorn Balls

Take traditional holiday popcorn balls to the next level by adding bacon, sea salt and maple syrup for a sweet and salty treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of microwaveable popcorn
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • Bacon bits
  • Sea salt

Instructions

  • Prepare microwaveable popcorn according to package.
  • Spread popcorn on a baking sheet. Leave out unpopped kernals.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Add syrup and stir until pot starts to boil.
  • Take pot off of heat and pour syrup mixture over popcorn.
  • Use a spoon or spatula to spread mixture evenly over popcorn.
  • Sprinkle bacon bits and a little sea salt over popcorn mixture.
  • Allow popcorn to cool completely, then pack popcorn tightly into balls.
  • Use plastic wrap to individually wrap and store popcorn balls.
