Celebrate the season with this Warm Maple Whiskey Apple Cider. It's perfect for Thanksgiving and simple to make with just apple cider, maple syrup, whiskey, and spices. It can easily be multiplied and made in a slow cooker for a large crowd, too.

4cupsapple cider
1/2cupwhiskeyor bourbon
2tbsps.maple syrupor more to taste
1/4tsp.ground nutmeg
3whole cloves
Cinnamon sticksfor serving
Orange slicesfor garnish
Instructions
Heat apple cider, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon sticks in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Heat just until it's warm, not boiling, about 5-6 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup and whiskey. Adjust maple syrup, if necessary.
Pour into heatproof glasses or mugs. Add an orange slice and cinnamon sticks in the glass and serve.
