Ingredients

  • 1 room temperature puff pastry sheet
  • 10 slices pepperoni
  • 3-4 tbsps. pizza sauce
  • 4 tbsps. shredded mozzarella
  • Egg wash
  • Garlic powder
  • Optional: warm pizza sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out puff pastry and use a coffin cookie cutter, or knife, to cut out coffin shapes. Use scraps to cut out small crosses.
  • Spoon pizza sauce onto half of the coffin shapes. Follow by placing pepperoni slices and mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Place other half of puff pastry cutouts on top and use a fork to seal the edges. Place cross cutouts on top.
  • Brush the pizza pockets with egg wash, sprinkle with garlic powder, and carefully place onto baking sheet.
  • Bake pizza pockets for 18-20 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving. Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.
