Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup water warm to room temperature
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine both flours. Stir in the baking powder, salt, water, and oil until a dough forms.
  • Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead 12-15 times, or until dough is smooth. If necessary, add more flour or water to create a smooth texture. Cover dough and rest 10 minutes.
  • Turn dough back onto a lightly floured surface and divide into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece of dough into a circle.
  • Oil a griddle pan or large skillet and heat over medium heat. Place a tortilla onto the pan and cook about 1-2 minutes on each side. If necessary, add more oil between tortillas.
  • Tortillas will be cooked through and lightly browned on each side once done.
  • Serve warm, or allow to cool and store in fridge or freezer.
