Italian Hoagie Skewers

These Italian Hoagie Skewers are the best of an Italian sandwich on a stick! They’re easy party food made with a delicious combo of meats, cheeses, and all the sub style fixings!

Ingredients

For the skewers:

  • 1/2 loaf Italian bread cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 4 oz. salami
  • 4 oz. ham
  • 4 oz. sandwich pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cubed
  • 10-12 grape tomatoes
  • 10-12 whole pepperoncinis
  • Lettuce cut into chunks or small slices
  • Bamboo skewers

For the dressing:

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

For the skewers:

  • If desired, toast the cubed bread in a skillet over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes, or until bread is crisp and golden brown.
  • Layer the ingredients onto the bamboo skewers.

For the dressing:

  • Mix ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Drizzle dressing over the skewers.
  • Serve skewers immediately with extra dressing on the side, if desired.
