Pineapple Angel Food Cake

This Pineapple Angel Food Cake is made with just three ingredients, one bowl, and will be the hit of your gatherings.  Make this cake with boxed angel food cake, crushed pineapple, and vanilla extract for an easy, crowd pleasing dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 box angel food cake
  • 1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 8 oz. Cool Whip optional
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9"x13" baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, crushed pineapple, and vanilla extract. Batter will puff up after mixing.
  • Pour mix into prepared baking pan. Bake 25-35 minutes, or until top of cake is golden brown.
  • If desired, mix shredded coconut into container of Cool Whip. Then, slice the cake and serve with Cool Whip for topping.
