These small batch Red, White, and Blueberry Waffles are a sweet start to a summer morning. The fluffy waffle base is loaded with fresh blueberries, then topped with raspberries, blackberries, and whipped cream.

Equipment

  • 1 waffle maker

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • Whipped cream raspberries, and blackberries, for topping

Instructions

  • Grease a waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray and preheat to a medium temperature.
  • In a mixer, beat flour, salt, baking powder, sugar, egg, milk, butter, and vanilla together just until well combined.
  • Fold in blueberries.
  • Spoon batter into the preheated waffle maker.
  • Cook waffles until they turn golden brown and are cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Serve with whipped cream and fresh raspberries and blackberries.
