This Spicy Slow Cooker Barbecue Pulled Chicken is a zesty meal for your weeknight menu made with a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce with just a touch of heat!

Ingredients
For the barbecue sauce:
1cupketchup
2tbsp.apple cider vinegar
2tbsp.hot honey
2tsp.paprika
1/2tsp.ground cumin
2tbsp.hot sauce
Pinchcrushed red pepper
Salt and pepperto taste
For the chicken:
4bonelessskinless chicken breasts
14.5oz.can diced tomatoesdrained
1/2cupred onionchopped
Bunscrunchy slaw, and hot sauce, for serving
Instructions
For the barbecue sauce:
Combine all ingredients in a small pot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer for at least 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then, set aside.
For the chicken:
Add the chicken to the slow cooker.
Then, add the barbecue sauce, diced tomatoes, and onions.
Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours, or until the chicken easily shreds apart.
Serve on buns with crunchy slaw and extra barbecue sauce or hot sauce.
