Before our Mother's Day celebration started, my mom, sister, and I ran to the liquor store to buy a few (okay, several) bottles of wine. I passed a display for Main & Vine Lemonade Stand Moscato. It sounded good, but I was hesitant to pick up a bottle at first.
I love a cool glass of lemonade in the summer, but Moscato tends to be a little too sweet for me. Still, I was intrigued and the price was right, so I grabbed a bottle.
I probably should've grabbed two because the bottle went fast! Everyone agreed that it was a perfect summer wine - not too sweet with a nice touch of lemon flavor. It mixed well with seltzer to make an easy spritzer. But I wondered how it would work in a lemonade inspired sangria.
I played around with ideas and instead of using straight lemonade in my sangria, I used Lemonade Stand Moscato as well as Pink Whitney.
If you're not familiar with Pink Whitney, it's a pink lemonade flavored vodka and it's delicious! Paired with the Lemonade Stand Moscato, it gives this sangria an extra boost of boozy lemon flavor.
Easy Lemonade Moscato Sangria
If you're looking for a refreshing alcoholic beverage to make for your next outdoor gathering or barbecue, this Easy Lemonade Moscato Sangria is a perfect summertime sip!
Along with Lemonade Stand Moscato and Pink Whitney, this sangria is made with sparkling water (or seltzer), sugar, lemon juice, lemon slices, and sliced strawberries. Just add everything to a large pitcher, stir, and pour into glasses!
The first we're going to do is add the Lemonade Stand Moscato, Pink Whitney vodka, sugar, and lemon juice to a large pitcher. Give everything a good stir to combine, making sure that the sugar has dissolved.
Next, we're going to add our sliced fruit. For this sangria, I'm only adding slices of lemon and strawberries. The strawberries add a little more color to this lemonade sangria.
Then, stir in the sparkling water, or plain seltzer.
If you're not serving this sangria immediately, let it chill in the fridge. Right before serving, add the ice cubes. Then, pour into glasses.

Notes
I found that this sangria gets better the longer it sits. If you really want maximum lemonade flavor, I suggest making this at least 2 hours ahead of time without the ice cubes. Stir in the ice cubes right before serving.
