Shark Week is more than just a week of fin-tastic TV viewing in our house.  It's become an annual tradition of watching documentaries, shark attack encounters, and all of that crazy undersea action!  Of course, when your husband is hooked - no pun intended - on every shark program that's aired during the summer, sometimes it's a bit much.  But it's still a great excuse to hang out on the couch with tasty, summer snacks!

And what's my absolute favorite snack to nosh on while having a TV watching marathon?  A cheese board!  Now, this might not be the prettiest cheese board you've ever seen.  In fact, it's downright terrifying!  You're basically staring down at a hungry cheese board shark that's staring back up at you!  Watch those fingers when you dive in to snatch a cracker or piece of cheese!

So here's what you need to make a Shark Week cheese board totally worthy of sinking your teeth into:

  • Seedless green grapes
  • Almonds
  • Dried apricots
  • Town House Spinach, Artichoke & Feta Flatbread Crisps
  • Prosciutto slices
  • Mini fresh mozzarella balls
  • Sharp white cheddar cheese
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Greek olive mix with feta cubes
  • Sweety drop peppers
  • Dried cranberries
  • Peppadew peppers
  • Chipotle BellaVitano Sartori Cheese

I suggest starting with the almonds, making a triangular shape at top and working your way down with the rest of the ingredients.  Also, if you have an apple corer handy, it'll be easier to make the teeth and eyes with that.  I cut white cheddar into small triangles for the teeth and then used the apple corer to shape the bottoms.  Then, I used it to make a circle of cheese for the eyes and placed sliced olives on top.

A cheese board is only as good as the wine you serve with it. I love a nice, chilled white wine in the summer.  Since this is a shark-themed board, I decided to buy a couple bottles of beachy labeled wines.  The perfect accompaniment to this Shark Week inspired cheese board!  Pour yourself a glass, sit back, and dig into a terrifyingly delicious snack!  Will you be tuning into Shark Week?
