Most of you already know that I am completely and absolutely obsessed with cacti and succulents! I mean, who isn’t these days? So you probably also know that I’m not too good at keeping them alive. When my husband and I went to pick out succulents for our planter project last week, he joked that he gave our new plants two weeks to live under my care. The cashier said, “Oh no! These are easy to keep alive!” I laughed and replied, “You want to make a bet?”

The cactus party picks looked adorable in the small cheese plate I made for us to snack on. The small plate was made with toasted rounds, marinaded wild mushrooms, caperberries, artichokes, Gouda cheese, white cheddar, hot peppers from our garden, salami, and prosciutto. So good!
The decorations looked great among the backdrop of my cactus-filled planters around the deck. Instead of hanging the paper fan decorations, I had them laying around the table. Cactus print paper plates and napkins ensured that I would have easy clean-up when we were finished. The gold mercury candle holders added a pretty sparkle and the cactus tumblers were such a fun touch (I used one to hold our cactus picks)!
