I interrupt all of the spooky food and fun happening on my blog this month to bring you an Etsy update. I've got a few things to chat about. Especially if you missed my social media posts and newsletter. I made a few changes on Etsy along with adding some new holiday items. But before I share the new goodies with you, let's talk about the not-so-fun stuff.
We all know that prices have gone up everywhere. I've been trying to avoid raising my prices for months now. But unfortunately, I couldn't avoid it any longer. So this past week, I had to make some price increases in my shop. Nothing too horrifying, but you may notice that items prices have gone up slightly.
Along with item prices, I also had to adjust my shipping costs. The USPS usually increases shipping costs around the holiday season, so I had to make adjustments to cover my costs. Again, it's a slight increase - nothing too crazy - but I wanted to be up front about it.
October New Product Launches
Now that we've got the ugly stuff out of the way, let's talk about the new items that have arrived! Holoka Home is in full holiday mode now! I've added two new simmer pot kits, a new holiday cinnamon mini broom, and new gold leaf herb pressed clay ornaments! Every one of these items makes a great gift or even something special for yourself to get you in the holiday spirit!
Wassail Simmer Pot Kit
Wassail is a tradition spiced cider served around the holiday season. There are also "wassailing" practices that include caroling and orchard ritual to bless apple trees to ensure there's a great harvest the following year. Wassail, the beverage, is quite tasty and full of holiday flavor. And the ingredients completely inspired this simmer pot kit!
This simmering blend is made with apples, oranges, lemons, cranberries, cloves, star anise, and cinnamon. It's perfect for simmering during holiday gatherings or during the winter season.
Available here.
Holiday Baking Simmer Pot Kit
The entire month of December you can find me in the kitchen baking up holiday cookies. The scents wafting out of my kitchen are sweet, spicy, and amazing! That's what inspired this simmer pot blend. It's made with apples and pears and sweetened with vanilla, cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
Available here.
Gold Leaf Herb Pressed Clay Ornaments
I have several handmade ornaments in my shop. One of my most popular ornaments are the herb pressed ornaments. This year, I decided to bring them back with a new pressed pattern and a touch of gold leaf for holiday elegance. They're available in a variety of different colors - some that will be trending this holiday season!
- Olive green ornament
- Purple ornament
- Magenta ornament
- White ornament
- Turquoise ornament
- Rose pink ornament
Mini Cinnamon Holiday Broom
Last year, I made a winter broom decorated with seasonal greenery that could be left out from the holiday season throughout the winter months. This year, I decided to make a broom that fits right in with Christmas/Yule decor. These brooms are decorated with holiday touches like winter berries, greenery, cinnamon, pine cones, red velvet ribbon, and lastly, some mini gold bells. Use them as a small ornament, adorn a door, or give as a small gift.
Available here.
Item Restocks
Along with adding new items, I also have an ongoing spring and summer sale happening. Spring and summer items are 30% off. I also added a clearance section for items like dream pillows, bath salts, car air fresheners, and more. These items are marked down and, once sold out, will not be returning to the shop.
I also restocked a few items. My fall mini brooms sold out (thank you!). Since there's still a lot of fall left, I restocked the brooms. I also restocked fir needle pressed necklaces and earrings, plus the fir needled stamped pendant necklaces.
The fall brooms will add a cinnamon scented touch to your seasonal decor. They would also make a great hostess gift for Thanksgiving. And the jewelry pieces will look great with your winter wardrobe, or make a nice handmade gift for someone.
Follow for Updates
That's everything for October! As we gear up for the holiday season just ahead, I'm not sure how many more new items will be added to the shop. Especially since there are so many holiday favorites already in stock! The next month or so, I will be focusing on, not only keeping items in stock, but also keeping my supplies stocked up to fill holiday orders.
Of course, anything can change! So make sure you're following my Etsy shop (add it to your favorites) for updates about new items. As always, thank you for supporting my small business!
