One thing I love about grocery shopping through Hungryroot is discovering so many new brands and foods. When I saw Dill Pickle Buffalo Everything Sauce available, I knew I had to grab a bottle. Spicy Buffalo sauce with a tangy dill pickle twist? Sign me up! I'm a huge fan of both of those flavors and combining them into one flavorful condiment is absolutely genius! When my bottle arrived in my last order, I knew it was going to become my new favorite finishing sauce.

The first thing I tried it on was pizza - yes, pizza! I added a drizzle to a Buffalo chicken meatball pizza I made. The flavor exceeded my expectations. The next thing I used it for was this turkey tater tot bowl. I wanted to create a recipe that not only let me use this sauce as a focal point, but influenced the flavor of the dish. So I used ingredients from my Hungryroot order and created a dill-icious bowl that's packed with fresh ingredients and a ton of flavor.

HUNGRYROOT INGREDIENTS USED FOR THIS BOWL

As I mentioned before, I made this bowl using mostly ingredients I ordered through Hungryroot. So let's break down the ingredient list.

  • Actual Veggies Crispy Potato Tots: These are veggie-loaded tater tots made with potatoes, cauliflower, chickpeas, pea protein, onion, and other simple ingredients.
  • Lean Ground Turkey: Turkey is a lean protein that's lower in fat and calories than ground beef.
  • Roth Kase Blue Cheese Crumbles: Creamy, tangy blue cheese is a classic addition to Buffalo dishes.
  • Baby Romaine Lettuce: Lettuce adds a crisp, fresh flavor to this bowl.
  • Cleveland Kitchen Dill Pickle Buffalo Everything Sauce: The perfect combination of tangy and spicy flavors. It's also made with fermented ingredients so it's gut-healthy, too!

In addition to the Hungryroot ingredients, this bowl also is also made with garlic, bell peppers, onions, pickles, and seasonings.

Dill Pickle Buffalo Turkey Tater Tot Bowls

If you love Buffalo sauce and pickle-everything, you're gonna love this turkey tater tot bowl! It's a perfect balance of spicy and tangy flavors with crunch and creaminess in every bite. Plus, this bowl is great for meal prep or an easy weeknight dinner.

To start these bowls, we need to prepare the tater tots. I made them in the air fryer. You can make them according to the package. I added the tots to the air fryer basket and sprayed them lightly with cooking spray. The tots were air fried for about 15 minutes at 400 degrees. If you find they're not crispy enough, cook them for a couple minutes more. Then, set aside.

Now, we're going to cook the ground turkey. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the turkey and season with paprika, onion powder, and salt and pepper. Cook the turkey until it's browned and cooked through, breaking up large chunks as it cooks. Drain the turkey and set aside.

Give the skillet a quick wipe and add the peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook the veggies for about 5 minutes, just until they're softened but still slightly crispy. Add the turkey back into the pan and toss to combine.

Time to assemble the bowls! Divide lettuce and tater tots to bowls. Then, top with the turkey mixture and some sliced pickle chips. Add any additional toppings you'd like such as crumbled blue cheese. Finish the bowls with a drizzle of the Dill Pickle Buffalo Everything Sauce and serve immediately.
