This past Friday, I had a girls night in movie night with my sister. We ordered pizza for dinner and planned on watching Pitch Perfect 2. Neither one of us had seen it, but we both thought the first movie was aca-awesome! So I purchased the exclusive Blu-ray combo pack from Walmart. It includes the DVD and soundtrack so you can keep singing along after you watch the movie!
I decided to make a fun, themed snack to go along with Pitch Perfect 2. First, we needed a beverage to wash down our pizza and refill our cups during the movie. So I stirred up a simple “Pitch Perfect Punch” made with three ingredients. Essentially, it’s just a sparkling grape lemonade, but that doesn’t sound as fun!
Pitch Perfect Punch
- – Plain seltzer
- – Grape juice
- – Lemonade
- – 1 small lemon
- Combine equal parts seltzer, grape juice, and lemonade in a pitcher.
- Stir to combine.
- Slice a small lemon and add slices to the punch.
I don’t know about you, but I love a good cheese plate during a party, a gathering, or just a Friday night in! So to go along with the musical theme of the movie, I cut up Monterey Jack cheese and black olives to make a piano styled cheese plate.
Piano Cheese Plate
- – 8oz. Monterey Cheese block
- – Black olives
- Using about half a block of cheese, cut cheese into slices and arrange flat on a plate.
- Cut an olive in half. Then, cut slices out of the olive halves.
- Arrange olives in between cheese slices.
- Garnish with extra halved olives. Enjoy!
Pitch Perfect 2 definitely didn’t disappoint! It was full of laughs right from the beginning! The performances were great and there were a ton of star-studded cameos including Pentatonix, Snoop Dogg, the Obamas, and so many more!
