It's that time during the holiday season when we're checking off our lists and trying to keep track of all the cheer we've been spreading. But sometimes a gift or two slips through the cracks - like a hostess gift, a gift for a family friend, or we just need an idea for that hard-to-shop-for person.
That's why I like to keep New Jersey Lottery's Holiday Scratch-Offs on hand. They're fun for anyone over 18 on your holiday list! Plus, they're so easy to turn into a creative holiday gift, like this Christmas candy inspired gift idea. It's kind of like a Christmas cracker that you unwrap instead of snapping open.
Instead of using a cardboard tube, we're using a holiday Scratch-Off and Christmas cardstock to create the middle of our candy shape. Then, we're going to wrap the tube with cellophane and fill the middle with candy (I used Hershey Kisses).
Finish this easy gift idea by tying each side of the cellophane with pretty ribbon and that's it! It's an easy gift idea for adults on your holiday shopping list. Who wouldn't love the chance to win big for Christmas?!
Christmas Candy Lottery Gift Idea
If you're looking for a fun way to gift holiday Scratch-Offs this year, create these Christmas candies made with just a few simple supplies. It's a sweet holiday gift that could potentially make the holidays even sweeter for someone!
After we've gathered our supplies and Scratch-Offs, cut the Christmas cardstock to the size of the holiday Scratch-Off, or a little larger.
Then, we're going to cut the cellophane wrapping large enough to create a candy wrapper. Once cut, roll the cardstock and Scratch-Off into a tube shape and place onto the cellophane.
Use ribbon to tie one end of the "candy." Then, fill the center of the tube with chocolate kisses or other small candies.
Finish by tying the other end of the cellophane wrapping and gift!
SUPPLIES
- Christmas cardstock
- New Jersey Lottery Holiday Scratch-Offs
- Cellophane wrapping
- Scissors
- Chocolate kisses, or other wrapped Christmas candy
- Ribbon
STEPS
- Cut the Christmas cardstock to the size of the Holiday Scratch-Off, or a little larger. Roll up the cardstock and Scratch-Offs to form a tube.
- Cut cellophane large enough to wrap cardstock tube and create a candy shape. Trim ribbon and wrap one end of the "candy" tube. Then, fill the middle of the tube with chocolate kisses.
- Tie ribbon onto the other end of the tube to secure and gift!
