It's officially the first day of fall! And soon enough, that familiar chill in the air will have us pulling on our hoodies and gearing up for game day food and fun again! I can't remember a weekend spent at my parents' house that didn't have a game on the television. All of that cheering (or - let's face it - yelling at the TV screen) can definitely make us hungry!

So during most game day gatherings - or any family gathering, really - there's always been a decent spread of food out on the table. One thing that always seems to be included in that spread is my mom's pepperoni bread. It's such an easy recipe to make and it's a big crowd pleaser! That's 'cause it's kind of like pepperoni pizza! And who doesn't love that?!

Easy Pepperoni Bread

This recipe is cheap, easy, and makes enough to feed our entire crew! Start by pressing a refrigerated pizza crust into a 9 x 13 pan. Then, layer on slices of pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, a drizzle of egg, and some Italian seasonings. Finally, top it off with another pizza crust, egg wash, and some more Italian seasonings. In about 20 minutes, you'll have a pan of crispy, golden pepperoni bread!

When the pepperoni bread cools, cut it into squares with a pizza cutter and serve. It's so good on its own, but even better when you dip it into a side of marinara sauce! That's when it tastes like pepperoni pizza!

But isn't it the absolute worst when you're sitting around the TV, enjoying your favorite game day snacks, and a major case of heartburn hits? All of that pepperoni, cheese, and sauce can definitely sneak up on you! These days, we keep Nexium® 24HR Clear Minis on us when we know we're going to be indulging in greasy and/or spicy foods.

I suffer from occasional heartburn and my husband has started watching his acid intake this year. But we still like to indulge in our favorite spicy foods every now and then. So I've been keeping Nexium® 24HR Clear Minis on hand for heartburn relief that lasts all day and through the night. Just one Nexium® 24HR each dayi blocks acid at the source, turning your body’s acid pumps from on to off.

I picked some up ahead of the fall sports season at Walmart. We're all set to stop acid before it starts, get all-day, all-night protection from frequent heartburn, and enjoy our favorite football food.
