Ladies celebrating ladies. That's what Galentine's Day is all about!

The closest I've ever gotten to celebrating Galentine's Day was back in high school - before Galentine's Day even existed! Around Valentine's Day, we could purchase carnations to send to friends and crushes. I think we could even include notes. I was never brave enough to send any carnations to my crushes. But my circle of friends and I would always send them to each other. That gave us our Glen Coco moment in class! Or better yet, our Galentine's Day moment!

Thanks to Leslie Knope, Galentine's Day has become a legit celebration. It's a day for besties, gal pals, sisters from other mister, and any of the special ladies in your life. The day is celebrated right before Valentine's Day, on the 13th. And in some ways, I think it's even better than the big love fest that's Valentine's Day!
