A few weeks ago, I placed a grocery order from Whole Foods.  I decided to add a bag of Siete churro chips to the order.  I love churros and was so excited to try them!  But I ended up highly disappointed when I opened the bag. Less than half of the bag was filled with chips.  I basically paid for churro scented air!

Even though I wouldn't spend the money for those chips again, they were pretty darn delicious!  They were so delicious that I felt compelled to try making my own churro chips!

The texture of the Siete chips kind of reminded me of a fried wonton.  They were thin and crispy.  So I got a package of wonton wrappers, mixed up a churro seasoning, and made the chips in the air fryer.  These chips were super easy to make and definitely satisfied my craving for churro flavored chips!

Let's get ready to make this highly addictive snack! These air fryer churro wonton chips are ready in just 5 minutes.  They're brushed with a sweet butter mixture and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar giving them a delicious churro-inspired flavor!

The first thing we need to do is prep our wonton wrappers.  Grab a pizza cutter and start cutting them into strips.  Then, set them aside.

Now, we're going to melt some butter and whisk in a little vanilla and honey. This will get brushed on the wonton strips before air frying them.

Take the wonton strips and brush both sides with the butter mixture.  Place them in the air fryer basket and air fry for 5 minutes at 350 degrees.

While the wonton strips are air frying, mix sugar, ground cinnamon, and just a pinch of sea salt together.  Once the wontons are nice and golden brown, toss them in the cinnamon and sugar mixture.  Allow the wonton chips to cool before digging in!

You can use wonton or eggroll wrappers to make these chips.  They're essentially the same dough, just cut in different lengths.  Adjust the seasoning as you like and store the chips in a baggie or resealable container - if they even last that long without being completely devoured!
