Part of our office is also my craft room. I keep my Cricut machines in there along with a big supply of vinyl and blanks. While I was going through my hat blanks, I thought it might be cute to make myself a trucker hat for Halloween. I wanted to put a sassy saying on the front like "Witch Please" and use glitter iron-on vinyl for the design.
While I started working on this project, I realized that this would be a good project to share since not everyone likes dressing up for Halloween. If you want to keep it casual, throw on a Halloween hat and take the little monsters trick-or-treating! Or, if you're a big Halloween lover, like I am, rock this hat all spooky season long!
This trucker hat project is so simple to make with Cricut's Hat Press. Just cut out iron-on vinyl (I cut purple glitter iron-on with my Cricut Joy), weed it, then press it onto the trucker hat blank using the Hat Press and Cricut Heat app. Learn more about the Cricut Hat Press here.
DIY Halloween Witch Please Trucker Hat
This is an easy Cricut project to get you in the Halloween spirit! It has a sassy witch design on front that's perfect for spooky season!
To start this hat, open the "Witch Please" design file in Design Space. Resize it, if necessary, and continue to cut the image. Make sure that the image is mirrored before cutting! Weed the design.
Position the trucker hat blank onto the hat form. Then, open the Cricut Heat app and set the time and temperature for the hat blank and material.
Preheat the hat blank according to the app. Then, position the design onto the hat and secure with heat resistant tape. Move the Hat Press back and forth and side to side to iron the design onto the hat.
The app will let you know when the liner is cool enough to remove. You can always go by touch. Just be careful! Once the liner is cool, carefully remove it from the design.
After that, you're all set to rock your Halloween trucker hat all throughout spooky season!
