Some of the most fun cocktails and drinks that I've made have a Halloween spin to them.  So last year, while I was wrapping up the rest of my Halloween content and moving on to all things turkey and Christmas related, I added this idea to my brainstorming notebook.  Recently, I decided to revisit this idea after finding a bunch of old cheesecloth.

Cheesecloth has become Halloween decorating gold for me.  You can turn it into cute, little ghosts or dye it to make spiderwebs to drape over surfaces.  And now, you can dress up champagne flutes with strips of cheesecloth to turn classic mimosas into Halloween mummy mumosas!

These Halloween Mummy Mimosas - or Mumosas, as I like to call them - are not exactly a brand new drink recipe.  I mean, I'm pretty sure most adults know how to make a mimosa with champagne or sparkling wine and orange juice.  But the mummified presentation makes a mimosa a spooky drink for Halloween brunch!

Halloween Mummy Mimosas (Mumosas)

These Halloween Mummy Mimosas are the cutest idea for Halloween morning or a Halloween theme brunch!  And the best part is that both the glasses and the mimosas are super easy to make, but look and taste spooktacular!

The first thing we're going to do is give our champagne flutes a mummy makeover.  Cut cheesecloth into strips and attach the double-sided tape to it.  Then, wrap the cheesecloth around the glasses, pressing it into place.  Leave room at the top for sipping.  No one wants a mouth full of cheesecloth!

While you're wrapping the cheesecloth, make sure you have a space on the glass to attach the eyes.  Then, peel off the backing on the googly eyes and stick them into place.

Now that the glasses are done, let's mix up some mumosas!  Add equal amounts of champagne or sparkling wine and orange juice (about 1/3 cup each) into each glass.

Serve the mimosas with Halloween drink stirrers, if desired.
