Christmas might be over, but cold and flu season is here. While I was brainstorming Christmas gifts to give my sister, I came up with an idea to make her a wellness basket. She works with the public and, as her older-sometimes-wiser sister, I keep telling her that she needs to boost her immune system. I tell her this every single time she gets sick.

The last time she got sick, I told her I was going to make her homemade elderberry syrup. Since it was around Christmas, I decided to make it and add it to a health and wellness style gift basket. Along with the syrup, I also added some other immune boosting goodies and some cozy self care items.

How to Make a Wellness Gift Basket

Since we're in the midst of cold and flu season, this gift basket might make a nice gesture for someone who's been feeling under the weather. Let this list of wellness and self care goodies inspire you to put your own basket together.

  1. Dried elderberries, or a bottle or jar of homemade elderberry syrup
  2. Soup bowl cozy
  3. Shower steamer and tray set
  4. Purify and Protect simmer pot kit
  5. Elderberry supplement cough drops
  6. Coffee/tea mug
  7. Tissue box
  8. Fluffy slipper socks
  9. Soup mix
  10. Herbal tea
  11. Jar of honey
  12. Face mask set
  13. Hand lotion
  14. Oversized throw blanket
  15. Lemon and eucalyptus bath salts

While this basket would be generous to gift for someone who's not feeling well, it might also be nice to have it on hand at home. This time of year, when germs are floating around, use this basket as a "feel better" kit while you're getting rest and taking care of yourself.
