I have been blessed with a mother and a mother-in-law who are gardeners and plant lovers. That love for gardening has definitely trickled down to me and I owe everything I've learned about plant care from the moms in my life. In fact, I have an outdoor plant from my mom that's over 30 years old and an indoor plant from my mother-in-law that I'm very protective of (I promised her I'd try not to kill it). It's nice to be able to keep this hobby going in our house.

Before the pandemic happened, it was a Mother's Day tradition to take both moms shopping at one of the bigger greenhouses in the state. That was put to a halt last year and most likely this year as well. But I still wanted to keep that tradition going in some way.
