I feel like Memorial Day is secretly everyone’s favorite holiday because the long weekend signifies the unofficial start of Summer.  I keep saying (to myself and my husband), “Let’s go somewhere this Summer.  Even if it’s just for a weekend.”  Because this year has been a lot busier for me than last year, I have this nagging feeling that it’s going to be another staycation kind of year for us.

Even if we don’t go anywhere this year, there’s still a lot I’d like to do this Summer.  I want to get down to the beach at least once!  I want to spend an afternoon on the boardwalk.  We missed out on the county fair last year, so I’d like to try and get there again this year.  Because there’s so much I’d like to do this summer (including a never-ending list of home improvement projects), I put together a “Summer Fun Bucket List” printable.

It’s always fun to get away.  But even when you can’t, there’s still a lot you can do locally.  We proved that last Summer when we discovered how much we liked canoeing and horseback riding.  We even took a day trip to go zip-lining for the first time!  No matter how you celebrate the Summer, be safe and have fun!  Happy Memorial Day weekend!
