Hunter's birthday was last week. Instead of buying him another dog toy to add to his basket or another bag of treats, I decided to get him something different. I bought him one of those interactive puzzle dog toys and a bag of interactive treats to hide inside of it. The morning of his birthday, we opened his present and let him try it out.

I popped two treats inside and Hunter immediately started sniffing them out, rolling the toy around until the treats eventually rolled right out of the sides. Since Hunter is sometimes like a piranha with the way he gobbles down treats, it's kind of nice watching him work for his treats for once! He's got to live up to his name somehow!

But Hunter's a pretty clever dog. I think he'll eventually figure out that all he really needs to do is tip the toy and the treats will slip out of the side. I'm already looking for another puzzle toy or two to get for Hunter. Our Petco didn't have many, but Amazon has a ton!
