Sugar Free Churro Iced Coffee

This Sugar Free Churro Iced Coffee recipe is easy to make at home with brewed coffee, cinnamon infused milk, and Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup.  It’s a sweet cinnamon drink that’s full of churro inspired flavor, without the sugar!

One thing I’ve totally overindulged in this past holiday season has been sweet, sugary drinks.  I’m talking about hot chocolate, eggnog, holiday coffee drinks, and homemade coquito.  While they were extremely delicious, I could feel the toll all of that sugar had taken on my body over time.

Since January is a great time to make better choices, I’m being mindful about the amount of sugar I consume.  While I’ve taken a break from the hot cocoa and other sugary, seasonal drinks, I’ve found a way that I can still enjoy flavored coffee beverages – Torani Sugar Free Syrups!

I love using Torani Sugar Free Syrups in drinks!  They’re made with simple and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Plus, one flavor can be used in an endless amount of recipes!  Stir a spoonful into your favorite drink and enjoy a guilt-free beverage!

To get me through these busy January days, I like to have an afternoon iced coffee.  I’ve been experimenting with different iced coffee flavors and recently made a churro flavored iced coffee that blew my mind!  The best part about it – it’s sugar free!

Using Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup, I was able to flavor this sweet cinnamon iced coffee without the sugar!  If you’re not opposed to drinking iced coffee during the winter, it’s the perfect afternoon pick-me-up that’s easy to make at home!  It could even be made ahead of time!

Sugar Free Churro Iced Coffee

Save what’s left of your morning pot of coffee to make this churro inspired iced coffee.  It’s made with cinnamon infused milk, Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup, and an optional (but totally recommended) dollop of cinnamon sprinkled fat free whipped cream on top!

The first thing we need to do is make our cinnamon infused milk.  Seriously so easy to do!  Just add a couple cinnamon sticks to a small pot of milk and heat it for about 5 minutes.  You could even make a big batch and store it in the fridge to use all week!

Remove the cinnamon sticks from the pot and discard.  Then, allow the milk to cool completely and transfer it to the fridge to chill.

Now, we’re going to add ice to a glass and pour our pre-made coffee over the ice. Make sure to leave some room for the milk!  If you prefer decaf in the afternoon, use your favorite instant decaf coffee in this recipe instead.

Stir in two tablespoons of Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup along with the cinnamon infused milk.

You can enjoy this iced coffee drink now or dress it up with a dollop of fat free whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top!

Sugar Free Churro Iced Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 2 tbsp. Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup
  • Ice
  • Optional: fat free whipped cream, ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Add the milk and cinnamon sticks to a small pot over low heat. Heat for about 5-8 minutes. Then, remove from heat and discard the cinnamon sticks.
  2. Allow the infused milk to cool. Then, refrigerate until chilled
  3. Add ice cubes to a glass and pour the brewed coffee over the ice.
  4. Stir in the Sugar Free Torani Vanilla Syrup and cinnamon infused milk.
  5. Serve with fat free whipped cream on top, if desired, and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
